Graduation Tickets
Main Campus
Guest Tickets
For those attending your graduation ceremony, you will be allocated two guest tickets for the ceremony in Bute Hall. Please note that you do not require a ticket for yourself.
Livestream/overflow tickets
Additionally, we offer an option to watch the ceremony live in a nearby venue adjacent to Bute Hall, where our ceremonies traditionally take place. Tickets to the overflow are limited to two per graduand (in addition to your two for Bute Hall) for this venue and will be distributed on a first-come-first-served basis. Graduands can request overflow tickets during your Registration in Hunter Halls.
Guests who choose to watch the live broadcast will enjoy an excellent view of the ceremony, including close-up moments as each graduand is presented with their degree.
Ticket Collection
Graduands will collect your guest tickets on the day of your graduation during the registration process.
It's important to note that the University cannot accept liability for any actual or alleged loss arising from the unavailability of extra tickets. Furthermore, the University does not take responsibility for the replacement of lost, damaged, or stolen tickets.
Children
Children are welcome to attend the ceremony but must have a ticket and be accompanied by an appropriate adult.
Please note that the upper area of Bute Hall is not suitable for children. If your guests include children, please mention this to the Graduation Team when you collect your tickets so that your guests can be seated together in the appropriate area.
Changes to Arrangements
Please be aware that graduation arrangements may be subject to change due to unforeseen circumstances. We will make every effort to communicate any changes through our website, social media channels, and by directly contacting attending students.
Graduation Ceremony Postponement
In the highly unlikely event of a graduation ceremony postponement or cancellation, the University will make every effort to communicate this through our website, social media, and direct contact with attending students. Under no circumstances shall the University be liable for any actual or alleged loss incurred by ticket holders, including but not limited to travel, accommodation, subsistence costs, or any loss of business or earnings due to such postponement or cancellation.
The University reserves the right to refuse admission in accordance with our policies and guidelines.
