Summary: Glasgow has been at the forefront of neighbourhood revitalisation for twenty years or more, yet significant challenges still remain in many neighbourhoods where social housing is the predominant tenure. Following the transfer of the city’s 80,000 housing stock to the Glasgow Housing Association in 2003, a new wave of neighbourhood renewal is underway across the city. This study visit provides an opportunity to visit two neighbourhoods undergoing significant renewal and to engage and debate with key members of staff from the Glasgow Housing Association about the processes and outcomes of renewal.
