Black History Month
Date: Wednesday 11 October 2017
Time: 18:00 - 21:00
Venue: Jim's Bar, QMU

Speaker: Alex from Scottish Refugee Council
Want to know what it’s like to be a refugee? To hear first-hand why someone flees their country, and why they seek asylum?
The QMU Presents, with the Scottish Refugee Council's Refugee Speaker Programme, an opportunity to hear first hand from refugees and asylum seekers why they are here, and how they have been helped – or hindered – in their search for sanctuary. Learn about how the Scottish Refugee Council helps and supports asylum seekers and refugees.
The University's own African-Caribbean Society will be there, offering membership and answering questions about the society and what they do.
