Short Description
To familiarise the student with the management methods and techniques most commonly used to plan, organise and control projects.
Timetable
This course is made up of asynchronous online sessions. The student is anticipated to engage in approximately 100 notional learning hours. Each session consists of a combination of recorded lectures or interviews, online activities, as well as case studies and recommended reading.

Assessment
The summative assessment is based on the completion of a 10 - 15 pages of project plan template based on a case study. This document requires models and tables and as such there is no suggested word count.
Course Aims
To familiarise the student with the management methods and techniques most commonly used to plan, organise and control projects.
Intended Learning Outcomes of Course
By the end of this course students will be able to:
1. Identify and analyse tools and techniques used in the different stages of the project lifecycle.
2. Develop project plans on the basis of timing, cost and risk.
3. Critically evaluate the project management process as it is applied within the workplace.
Minimum Requirement for Award of Credits
Students must submit at least 75% by weight of the components (including examinations) of the course's summative assessment.
