Course Aims
To familiarize the student with the management methods and techniques most commonly used to plan, organize and control projects.
Intended Learning Outcomes of Course
By the end of this course students will be able to:
1. Identify the stages of the project lifecycle and evaluate the value of the tools and techniques that are used in each stage.
2. Develop and evaluate project plans on the basis of timing, cost and risk.
3. Critically evaluate the project management process as it is applied within the workplace.
4. Work collaboratively in a group to produce a combined output, by liaising with other class members, allocating tasks and co-ordinating group meetings.
Minimum Requirement for Award of Credits
Students must submit at least 75% by weight of the components (including examinations) of the course's summative assessment.
