MVLS Structural Biology and Biophysical Characterisation Facility
The facility offers a wide range of biophysical techniques to support researchers in the determination and analysis of molecular structure, structural integrity, stability, and interactions with other macromolecules, ligands and membranes.
The facility can also provide the biotechnology and pharmaceutical industries with a biophysical characterisation service to test the integrity and stability of biotherapeutics during drug development.
The following services are available for use:
- Analytical ultracentrifugation
- Circular Dichroism
- Fluorescence Spectroscopy
- Fourier Transform Infra Red Spectroscopy
- Isothermal Calorimetry (ITC)
- MicroScale Thermophoresis
- Nuclear magnetic spectroscopy (NMR)
- X-ray crystallography
