Progress Committees
There will be 4 Progress Committees as detailed below. Unless indicated, these are clerked by the College UG Administrative Officer:
MA (Social Sciences)
Convener: to be confirmed (through Dean of Learning & Teaching)
Membership: One representative from the subjects in the College contributing to the teaching for the degree. Chief Adviser attends.
Remit:To examine the progress of students in respect of:
- Discontinuations
- Repeat attendance
- Decisions in relation to students progress
Reporting: The Committee reports to the College UG Learning and Teaching Committee.
Accounting and Law (BAcc and LLB)
Convener: Professor C Emmanuel
Membership: One representative from each of the Departments of Accounting and Finance and Law. Chief Advisers attend.
Remit: To examine the progress of students in respect of:
- Discontinuations
- Repeat attendance
- Decisions in relation to students progress
Reporting: The Committee meets 2-3 times a year (September; and January and reports to the College UG Learning and Teaching Committee.
School of Education
Convener: Dr G Head
Membership: Representatives expected to be drawn from programmes in the School (exc B,Ed Music – RSAMD); subject to discussion. Chief Adviser attends.
Remit: To examine the progress of students in respect of:
- Discontinuations
- Repeat attendance
- Decisions in relation to students’ progress
In attendance: School UG Team Leader
Reporting: The Committee meets 2-3 times a year (July; September/October; and November/December and reports to the College UG Learning and Teaching Committee.
School of Social and Environmental Sustainability
Convener: Dr C Hill (also Chief Adviser)
Membership: One representative from the subjects in the School contributing to the teaching for the degree.
Remit: To examine the progress of students in respect of:
- Discontinuations
- Repeat attendance
- Decisions in relation to students progress
In attendance: Head of School Administration
Reporting: The Committee meets 2-3 times a year (September; January and as required) and reports to the College UG Learning and Teaching Committee.
