EVENT RECAP | Research Networking Workshop: Digital Technologies
Published: 26 February 2025
This research networking workshop brought together researchers from across the University whose research interests relate to digital technologies and science.
On 12 February 2025, the Peaceful, Secure & Empowered Societies (PSES) Interdisciplinary Research Theme organised a workshop, bringing together researchers from the College of Social Sciences, College of Arts & Humanities, and College of Science & Engineering, who work on, around, or with digital technologies. Participants collectively mapped ongoing research projects, shared experiences of interdisciplinary research, and explored how further collaboration can be developed and facilitated within this theme.
During the first session of the workshop, participants introduced their research interests and ongoing projects to provide starting points for future research collaboration. In the second session, the discussion focused on the challenges and production processes of interdisciplinary collaboration around digital technologies, particularly in the case of research that extends beyond social sciences. Participants also discussed how the University and research initiatives within it can better facilitate such research collaboration.
