Join us for this seminar and book launch event focusing on anti-racist education, pedagogy and collaborations.

Join us for this seminar and book launch event hosted by the Addressing Inequalities Interdisciplinary Research Theme, Global Majority Network, and the School of Education CR&DALL.
The event focus is on anti-racist education, pedagogy and collaborations, and academic staff, students and teachers from across the University are all welcome.
Professor Lubna Nasir of the School of Biodiversity, One Health and Veterinary Medicine, MLVS, will chair the session and we will welcome Professor Shibao Guao from the University of Calgary who will deliver a presentation entitled 'Combating Anti-Asian Racism and Xenophobia in Canada: Toward Pandemic Anti-Racism Education in Post Covid-19'.
We are also excited to host the launch of the recently published book 'Social Justice and the Language Classroom' by School of Education colleague Dr Deniz Ortaçtepe Hart.
The main event will run from 2-4pm and will also include a presentation on ‘University of Glasgow Anti-Racism Initiatives’ by Dr Uzma Khan (the University’s Race Equality Champion), as well as a Q&A discussion facilitated by Yuwei Xu, Associate Professor in Education from the University of Nottingham.
