College of Social Sciences- IPDF Application Process

The IPDF application form can be downloaded here.

Colleagues who work within the College of Social Sciences should follow the below process to submit an IPDF application.  When following the process, please keep in mind key dates as shown below.

  1. Colleagues should draft the IPDF application and discuss this with their School Director of Internationalisation (SDI).  Please note, the SDI may need to seek advice from others, so it is advisable to submit the application to the SDI as soon as possible.
  2. The SDI can give guidance on whether the bid aligns with the school’s international aspirations.
  3. When the IPDF application has been reviewed by the SDI, the SDI should send this to the Head of School (HoS) for review and approval.  It is the responsibility of the SDI to seek financial approval from the HoS.  The applicant does not need to contact the HoS directly.
  4. The SDI should submit the IPDF application and evidence of HoS approval to socsci-international-engagement@glasgow.ac.uk for review and College approval. The HoS approval should include confirmation on whether the School will match fund the bid.
  5. The College International Engagement Team will submit IPDF applications that have received College approval to the Central Team. This submission will include the HoS and College approval as well as confirmation on match funding.
