Funding opportunities

Funding is available to support collaboration between academic researchers and external organisations. If your organisation has a challenge and you think our researchers might be able to help, these schemes could provide support.

The College of Science and Engineering welcomes fellowship applications from external candidates. You must first identify a host supporting academic.

UKRI funding via our Impact Acceleration Account (IAA)

UK Research Innovation (UKRI) awarded the University £5.2M across a portfolio of Impact Acceleration Accounts (IAA) in 2022. The funding is meant for projects that translate research into impact.

IAA funding will support collaboration between industry and other external partners with our academics who are translating research outputs into Impact.

Applications must be from a researcher in the College of Science and Engineering, and they can apply for funding from two IAA accounts. Find out more:
