Research vision

I am interested in the combination of electromagnetics and ultrasound, particularly for medical diagnostics. Magnetic microbubbles are an ultrasonic contrast agent that can be manipulated using magnetic fields but have hitherto only been studied under static fields. I believe they have great potential for improved medical diagnostic imaging, especially in the field of elastography for cancer staging. I am also interested in tissue mimicking materials and bioprinting, and any technologies that allow for better models of the human body and the long-term potential to remove the need for animal testing.

Expectations from collaboration

I am looking for collaborators than work with superparamagnetic iron oxide nanoparticles, electromagnetics, medical diagnostics, ultrasound, elastography, microbubbles, tissue phantoms, and bioprinting.

Key Skills

  • Ultrasound
  • Electromagnetism
  • Magnetic microbubbles
  • Superparamagnetic iron oxide nanoparticles
  • Elastography
