Venue & Transport Options

The conference will take place at the Queen Elizabeth Teaching and Learning Centre, 1345 Govan Rd Glasgow G51 4TF. Parking is limited on the hospital campus, therefore we strongly encourage the public transport links.

Poster Competition

We encourage you to meet our ECRs who are taking part in our poster competition in room L0006. The presenters will be at their posters during registration, morning and lunchtime breaks.

Fire Safety

There are no fire safety tests scheduled for the duration of the symposium. If the fire alarm sounds, please make your way to the nearest fire exit. 

Catering

Catering will be provided during the breaks indicated in the programme. If you notified of us of any dietary requirements, please speak to the catering staff who will be able to indicate appropriate foods which meet your requirements. Please note, food & hot drinks are not permitted in the lecture theatre, only water. Water will be provided at the desk beside the podium for you to use if needed during your presentation.

Wi-Fi

Wi-Fi is available via Eduroam for UofG staff or for all others, please use Patient_WiFi network.

1.            Turn on Wi-Fi

2.            Tap settings then Wi-Fi

3.            Select Patient_WiFi

4.            Open your internet browser and agree to the terms and conditions

5.            Click the connect button

Other

Toilets are located in the middle of the atrium and there are more available across from the lifts on the 1st and 2nd floors.

Please note food and drink is not permitted within the lecture theatre (with the exception of water).

If you need to leave during a session, please exit via the door at the back of the lecture theatre to minimise disruption.  Exit the 2 doors, turn left in the corridor and re-enter the through the TLC door, proceed down stairs or to L0 in the lift to return to the atrium.

The exhibition will be located in the main atrium area. Posters will be on display in room L006 and will be available to view during all breaks. Catering will be located in room L007 with two entry points (staff will be available to assist).
