Summary:

With the advancement of medical science, longevity has increased. However, this increased lifespan involves multiple chronic conditions (or multimorbidity). Very little is known regarding different risk factors that could drive the occurrence of multiple chronic diseases. Furthermore, a lot of these patients have poor quality of life, as seen by their disease progression. This study endeavours to identify these risk factors and understand the disease trajectories in ageing populations, which can be used for risk stratification.
