Where can I find information about courses and skills training?

How do I check my credits?
You can check your credits on the PGR Progress Review System. We also refer to this list of credits as your skills training record.
How long will it take until credits for internal courses are added to my record?
Adding credits to your skills training record is a manual process.
It may take up to 5 working days once we receive the course registers at the Graduate School office.
We aim to add credits within two weeks of your course attendance.
If you have not received your credits within three weeks, please contact the Graduate School.
How do I get credits for courses I’ve attended outside of the MVLS Graduate School?
Complete the Skills Credit Application Form. We recommend that you plan all training activities with your supervisor.
To complete the form:
- Go to MyGlasgow > Create a support call
- Click on
Service Catalogue
- Search for 'MVLS Skills Credit Application Form'
- Complete and submit the form
Complete this form for the following courses:
- Courses outside of the College of MVLS, e,g. courses run by other University of Glasgow departments including:
- Researcher Development courses run by the PG Research Office
- Glasgow Clinical Research Facility
- IT Services
- Careers Service
- All activities that do not appear in the Research Training and Personal Planning Brochure. These courses and activities will gain you one credit.
