Time: 17:30 - 21:30
Venue: Listen Gallery | 210 Hunter St | G4 0UP

Speaker: Kay Dickinson
This event will explore the worker struggle in the Sham (Levant) countries. From the aspiration of industrialisation to the strikes of tobacco workers, the radiant labour history of the Sham has been abandoned to time. Let us uncover this history, learn from it and revitalise our struggle!
Dr. Kay Dickinson, we will give a presentation on how Lebanese workers organised politically, the National Film Organisation in Syria and the revolutionary use of archives. Following that, we will watch the short film of the night, have Iftar at 6.41pm, and finish the evening with a feature film and discussion.
Sign up to get your free ticket and if possible, please donate to the venue!
Solidarity Screenings is a film screening initiative based in Glasgow, Scotland. (Re)building genuine solidarity through the medium of film is our contribution to the cultural front.
