As part of the College of Arts & Humanities Student Takeover for International Women's Day, join us for an exciting journey of self-expression and creativity at our International Women’ s Day: Photography & Memory Craft Workshop! This unique workshop, taking place at 14:30 -16:30 GMT, March 8th, offers a platform for women artists and scholars to break down language barriers through visual storytelling, to share their stories, express their emotions, thoughts, solve their dilemmas, through various artistic mediums.
What to Expect:
- Craft workshop with hands-on activities (make your collages)
- Subsequent Exhibition to showcase your creations
- Enjoy light refreshments provided during the workshop
- Discuss visible and invisible challenges faced by women artists and scholars
Materials We Provided:
- Old newspapers and magazines
- Wool and shredded fabric
- Watercolor and colored pencils
- Chinese ink and stained glass
Bring Your Memories to Life:
Participants are encouraged to bring old photographs, paintings, or visual prints related to their memories, emotions, or thoughts. Don't worry if you can't print the photos; send them to us at 2827091L@student.gla.ac.uk, and we’ll assist you! You would treat a drink if you bring your own old photographs or visual prints.
