Applications are open to join the Singapore Alumni Association Committee
The University of Glasgow is in touch with almost 3,000 alumni in Singapore and the Alumni Association plays a vital role in keeping our family of Glasgow graduates connected.
- Do you enjoy organising fun events and social activities?
- Would you like to build your professional network?
- Are you interested in meeting fellow UofG alumni in Singapore?
Then why not consider joining the Singapore Alumni Association Committee!
The Singapore Alumni Association is looking for 3 - 4 new Committee Members to join the existing Committee of 5 UofG Alumni who currently run the group. The Committee is supported by the UofG Alumni Engagement Team to plan and deliver a varied programme of activities.
The new Committee Members will help to organise brand new events and activities such as pub nights, professional networking, quizzes and games nights, to compliment the existing programme.
The Committee also welcomes applications from alumni who would be interested in becoming the first Committee Treasurer and helping to establish a process for managing event payments and other sources of revenue.
Selection process
The Committee roles are open to graduate alumni and non-graduating alumni of the University of Glasgow and University of Glasgow Singapore (UGS) who are predominantly based in Singapore. We particularly welcome applications from recent graduates who completed their studies in the last 5 years.
To nominate yourself please submit a short (250 word) written statement telling us:
- Why you would like to join the Singapore Alumni Association Committee
- Your ideas for developing the Association, including any events and activities you would like to organise
- Your skills and interests that you would bring to the Committee
Submit your written nomination to alumni@glasgow.ac.uk.
Once you have submitted your application we will be in touch about the next steps. We may invite you to meet with the Alumni Association President, Wei Kiong Tan, and the UofG Alumni Engagement Team.
