Soundbops, created by Glasgow graduate Michael Tougher has been nominated for the Beazley Designs of Year 2020
An innovative music start-up founded by University of Glasgow graduate Michael Tougher (MEng, 2015) has been nominated for the Beazley Designs of the Year 2020.
Soundbops is a musical toy which aims to make music accessible to all children, along with the educational, social, and developmental benefits that music brings.
The product will be displayed in the Museum of Design in London, alongside what curator Emily King described as “the most innovative designs across fashion, architecture, digital, transport, product and graphic design, as nominated by the public and design experts from around the world.”
Founder and CEO of Soundbops, Michael, said of the nomination “We are honoured and humbled to be one of the design success stories of 2020. Our mission to bring the joy of music to children will be hugely helped by this recognition.”
The University would like to congratulate Michael and everyone at Soundbops for this wonderful success.
