University of Glasgow alumnus Dr Edward (Eddie) T. Morgan (BSc 1976, PhD 1979) was recognised by the American Society of Pharmacology and Therapeutics (ASPET) and awarded the Bernard B. Brodie Award in Drug Metabolism and Disposition in May 2024.

First established in 1978, the Bernard B. Brodie Award honours the contributions to the field of drug metabolism and disposition, recognising outstanding research contributions which have significantly impacted future research within the field.

Dr Morgan has been recognised for his dedicated career researching cytochrome P450 enzyme regulation through inflammatory stimuli and the underlying mechanisms.
