Impact Acceleration Accounts
Impact Acceleration Accounts (IAAs) are strategic awards from UKRI to research organisations, to fund activities that translate research into impact. Projects must be underpinned by University of Glasgow research and should focus on collaborative work with external partners that supports uptake and use of research beyond the academy.
University of Glasgow holds IAAs from six funding councils (AHRC, BBSRC, EPSRC, ESRC, MRC, STFC), a place-based IAA Photonics & Quantum IAA together with other Scottish universities, and offer funding for cross-disciplinary projects through a joint IAA opportunity.
As a researcher at the University of Glasgow, you can request IAA funding from the account that best fits your project; it does not need to be managed by your own College.
