Voucher Scheme
Overview
The University is delighted to offer a mechanism for instant recognition for our colleagues who demonstrate exceptional effort against our University Values through the Recognition Rewards Voucher Scheme.
The award is in the form of an e-voucher to the recipient, allowing flexibility for each area to determine which of the University values they wish to recognise and promote.
Process
Each area is encouraged to develop an internal nomination process, whether this is by committee or another mechanism in order to ensure equality of opportunity to all colleagues.
Each Directorate/School will have assigned individuals who are authorised to make the request. These individuals are typically Budget Holders for a Directorate/School as all vouchers will be costed to the requesters budget.
- Nominations should be made by the employee’s line manger by completing the Reward Voucher Nomination Form.
- Nomination forms should be sent to HR Performance Pay and Reward team hr-ppr@glasgow.ac.uk, with the subject heading Voucher Reward.
- The HR Performance, Pay and Reward team will seek approval from the budget holder for the area.
Eligibility
All colleagues with a University of Glasgow contract of employment at the time of award.
Award Values
Awards can be made in the range between £10 to a maximum of £250.
The award is made in the form of a voucher this means that the full value of the award is made to the individual as the tax liability is paid by the University.
Important Information for Nominees
Vouchers can be used on a wide-variety of high street retailers, including supermarkets.
Vouchers are valid 1 year from the date of issue. Vouchers not used within this time-frame cannot be re-issued.
Vouchers will be sent directly to the Nominee’s UoG email and sometimes may go into their junk folder. Emails will come from noreply@edenred.co.uk
