Professor Marian Scott has won the Royal Society of Edinburgh's Lord Kelvin Medal, the most prestigious medal in the area of Physical Sciences, Engineering, Information Sciences and Mathematics & Statistics that the RSE award!

Nominated by RSE Fellows, the prestigious medals of the RSE recognise remarkable accomplishment.

The RSE cited Marian's "ground-breaking statistical research which has transformed the application of statistical methods across different disciplines, including environmental science, radiocarbon dating, veterinary science and quantitative archaeology."
