Yangkun Du receives award for an outstanding doctoral dissertation.

Yangkun Du, a SofTMech Research Associate in the School of Mathematics and Statistics received an award for an outstanding doctoral dissertation from the 6th Chinese Society of Mechanics. His PhD was one of five selected from PhDs in mechanical disciplines in China over a two year period. The title of his PhD is “Modification and extension of volume growth theory for soft matter, with application to health monitoring”. Supervised by: Professor Weiqiu Chen, Chaofeng Lv, and Michel Destrade.
