School success in the Principal’s Early Career Mobility Scheme

Drs Peter Stewart and Mike Whittaker have been successful in obtaining funding from the Principal’s Early Career Mobility Scheme. The aim of the scheme is to strengthen the University’s institutional partnerships by enhancing research collaborations with key partners.

Dr Michael Watson of the University of Sydney will visit Glasgow in July to visit Peter and continue their work using mathematical models of the brain and retinal vasculature to predict patterns of bleeding in the eye following traumatic brain injury.

Postgraduate student Miss Becky Armstrong of the University of Sydney will visit Glasgow in August to work with Mike to explore the topic of C*-algebras and widen the scope of her PhD work.
