Further funding success with GCRF
Dr Colin Torney was also successful in a GCRF application entitled “Towards a modern biodiversity monitoring pipeline in Tanzania: Automated machine learning techniques for processing wildlife image data”. The money will fund a research associate to develop deep learning algorithms to automate wildebeest counts from survey images, and fund a training workshop in Tanzania.
