RSE Vice-President (International) role for Professor Marian Scott
Professor Marian Scott OBE, Professor of Environmental Statistics within our School, has been elected to a Vice-President (International) role on the Council of the Royal Society of Edinburgh. She will take up the position from April next year.
Professor Scott said: “It’s a great honour to be elected to the role of Vice-President (International) with the Royal Society of Edinburgh. The RSE dates back to 1783, and its Fellows are drawn from a wide range of disciplines and sectors - science & technology, arts, humanities, social science, business and public service and this breadth of expertise makes us unique in the UK. I am very grateful to the Fellows who have elected me to this role and very much look forward to representing them and the RSE.”
Congratulations Marian!
